Type locality: Lumbwa, Kenya

Diagnosis

Male is similar to A. fractum by (a) spine of paraprocts reaches well beyond its bulge and usually also beyond tip of cerci; (b) cerci with dorsal border markedly excised (lateral view). However, differs by (1) ranging from Ethiopia to Uganda and N Tanzania; (2) humeral stripe often complete and at least as wide as antehumeral stripe; (3) cerci with dorsal border deeply excised (lateral view). Habitat description

Standing and mostly temporary waters in open landscapes, but sometimes in open areas in forest. Often with emergent and usually aquatic vegetation. From 500 to 2700 m above sea level, but mostly between 700 and 2200.
