Libyogomphus bwambae (Pinhey, 1961)

Type locality: Bwamba [= Semliki] Forest, Uganda

Diagnosis

Male is similar to other Libyogomphus species by (a) ranging from N Zambia and W Uganda to W Africa; (b) cerci and epiproct without dorsal teeth. However, differs from L. tenaculatus by (1) smaller size, Hw 24-25 mm; (2) thorax with 3 rather than 4 green stripes on each side, antehumeral and metepisternal stripes absent, postdorsal stripes fused to (rather than separated from) collar; (3) dorsum of S10 flat rather than humped. Habitat description

Not known, but probably (headwater) streams shaded by forest. Probably often with coarse detritus and a gravelly and/or sandy bottom. Inferred to occur at around 700 m above sea level.
