River Junglewatcher

Synonyms:

  • scientific: Allorrhizucha campioni

Type locality: Dumballa, Sierra Leone

Male is nearest to N. klingi by (a) labium broadly black in middle; (b) pale antehumeral stripe incomplete; (c) interpleural and metapleural stripes fused to form broad black band; (d) Fw discoidal field of 1 cell-row at and distal of node, 2-5 cells wide on wing border; (e) apex of cerci slender. Differs by (1) occurring on rivers in Upper Guinea, rather than on streams and/or more widespread; (2) antehumeral stripe reduced to short stripe dorsally and spot ventrally, rather than to a dorsal spot or nothing; (3) mesepimeral stripe tapered dorsally, rather than truncate; (4) Fw usually with 3-5 Cux, rather than 1; (5) hook of hamule quite erect and visible in lateral view, rather than lying in horizontal plain and thus concealed.
